Wedding & Event Planning

Your wedding or event suit or tuxedo should be one less thing to worry about. Whether it’s for the groom, his groomsmen or family, every suit and tuxedo is cut from a pattern drafted for the person wearing it and hand-tailored in our Brooklyn factory, and we plan the whole process around your date to make it as stress-free as possible.

When to start

We recommend starting 3 to 4 months before your wedding or event date. Your suit or tuxedo takes 6 to 8 weeks to make, and starting early builds in breathing room for fittings and any final adjustments.

Less than 3 months away? We can still make it. The key is making yourself available for your fitting and pickup dates, so we'll schedule them around your wedding or event from the first visit.

How it works

  1. First visit: choose your fabric, style and details, and get measured. That first appointment typically takes 45 minutes to an hour. Bring your family or groomsmen if you'd like.
  2. Fitting: about 4 to 6 weeks later, with the garment nearly finished. Bring the shoes and shirt you'll wear on the day. Our typical recommendation is to do the fitting one month before your event date.
  3. Pickup: about 10 days after the fitting, ideally about two weeks before the event.
  4. Last-minute adjustments: if anything needs a final touch, we can make adjustments right up until your wedding or event day.

Your wedding party

We welcome grooms to come in with their family and/or groomsmen. It's the easiest way to choose fabrics and details together so the whole party looks considered in photographs, and it turns the first visit into part of the celebration.

Groomsmen who live out of town: we have a strong preference to measure everyone ourselves, so we ask each member of the wedding party to visit us in person. Start toward the earlier end of our timeline so out-of-town groomsmen can plan a visit around a trip to New York.

Suit or tuxedo?

For black-tie and evening weddings and events, a tuxedo is the classic choice. For daytime, outdoor or less formal weddings, a custom suit is often the better fit, and you'll wear it again for years. Custom suits start at $1,800 and custom tuxedos at $2,150. Read our Tuxedo Buying Guide for help choosing lapels, fabrics and accessories.
