We designed the Sport Vest in 2015 as a tailored answer to the fleece vest: a piece you won’t find from any other tailor or clothing store. A Sport Vest is our take on the vest you see in every office: cut from real suiting and sport-coat cloth, hand-crafted in our Brooklyn factory, and sized like a jacket. It's the dressier answer to the fleece and puffer vests that have become the finance-office uniform, and it works just as well over a shirt and tie as it does with jeans on the weekend.

What makes it different
- Not a suit vest: a traditional vest or waistcoat is worn under a jacket. A Sport Vest is designed to be worn on its own as a top layer of outerwear, over a shirt, sweater or turtleneck.
- Not a fleece or puffer: instead of nylon or synthetic fleece, it can be made out of wool, cashmere, cotton or anything else you have in mind - tweeds, flannels, houndstooth, plaids so it looks right in a meeting and keeps its shape for years.
- Made just like our jackets: cut and hand-crafted in the same Brooklyn workroom as our suits, by the same team.

Made custom, a Sport Vest can be cut from almost any cloth we carry, including the same fabric as your suit, so the vest can be worn with the suit or on its own.

Questions
Should I go custom or ready-to-wear?
Most clients go custom: you choose any fabric and it's cut to your measurements. Ready-to-wear is a good way to try the style if you're a standard size and like one of the fabrics we have in stock, or if you are ordering from out of town.
How do I choose my ready-to-wear size?
Order the same size as your tailored jacket. If you're between sizes or unsure, give us a call or email to discuss, or choose "Other Size" and send us your height, chest and overarm measurements.
How do I care for it?
Most of the time, it doesn’t need cleaning, just pressing. Take it to your dry cleaner to be pressed: the heat and steam take care of wrinkles and everyday wear. Dry clean it only when absolutely necessary, no more than 4 to 6 times a year. Between wears, hang it on a shaped hanger to keep its line.
Can I wear it with a suit?
Yes. Made in matching cloth, it can be worn with the suit or on its own, which gives you more ways to wear one outfit.
